Practical cars - Smart decisions

Coming back to practical cars ...

We have shortlisted some inexpensive (& more practical )  cars that you may own as per your budget in India...

                                          #   Maruti suzuki Alto 800

One of best cars for Indian roads from past many years

         low maintenance , high mileage (22 km /l )

Fuel tank capacity - 35 liters

         5 seater  , 796 CC petrol ,47 bhp ,69NM Torque , manual transmission -5 gears

(  It will cost you around 4 lac on road  practically )

(if you are planning to buy Alto 800 , better to go for its higher variant Alto k-10 , which has very low difference in amount but do not lack power & performance as Alto 800 does , its really worth buying if you are low on budget .

...got amount for Alto 800...wait & save more till next year & buy Alto K-10 )

                                            #  Bajaj Qute -

(It will cost you around 2.50 lac only)

Guess the mileage???

its 35 KM/L on petrol!!

its because it has 200CC DTSi single cylinder engine.

can run on CNG as well (imagine the mileage !!.. its whooping 43 KM per Kg .....means riding on  Honda activa cost)

Max power - around 20BHP

highest speed - 70 KM /Hr.

(it's worth buying over a motorcycle costing around 1 lac nowadays, if you do not have false ego of traveling in an in expensive car, which is helping you travel without dust, rains, balance on roads & MOST IMPORTANT SAFETY, unlike a two-wheeler .... & ALL THIS WITHOUT MAKING BIG HOLE IN YOUR POCKET !!)

# Combining safety, minimum amount spent, luxury of being inside a car, maintenance cost, travelling along with family, avoiding rains /dust, parking problems --------->>> All comes to one answer & its TATA NANO!! ...what's good news...it's going electric soon!!

# If you are ready to spend more than 4 lacs on a new car, then do understand you are spending on luxury & NOT ON UTILITY!!

.... there is nothing wrong in buying any car for any amount as far as you can purchase it in one go & not on EMI......

if you have enough money better to go directly to Rolls royce / BMW /  porsche / jaguar or lamborghini ..as you do not need a utility but a luxury !!
